Our Story

Marcus and Shiyu, Tattoo Artists from Vancouver

Introducing Lucky Paw Tattoo Care, where the art of tattooing meets the science of aftercare. Founded by Marcus and Shiyu, two passionate tattoo artists from Vancouver, our mission is simple: to create an aftercare balm that actually meets the needs of tattooed skin.

After nearly a decade of tattooing, we noticed many clients using petroleum-based products — things like Vaseline or Aquaphor — because that’s what they’d always been told to use. While those create a layer over the skin, they also tend to trap heat and block airflow, which can make tattoos feel heavy and suffocated. We wanted something that felt cleaner and lighter, so we built a balm that lets skin breathe while keeping it deeply moisturized.

With Lucky Paw Tattoo Cooling Balm, we’ve created a vegan, oil-based formula designed to keep tattoos looking fresh while keeping skin soothed and hydrated.

Tattoos are an investment — in art, in yourself, and in your story. We’re here to help you protect that art with thoughtful, artist-developed tattoo care you can trust.
